After releasing all the coverage from our Holiday Jam session over at The Heights, including edits from ESPN and Blacklist, we finally present our own. The video was recorded by a good friend, Mateo of the DYNT clan. Big ups to everyone who came out that night, we’ll be doing another soon.
And oh yeah, the video features music from Killa Kyleon, Wheels of Steel. We’re actually working on a project with him as well. A lot of music collabs in works!
Here’s your chance to learn a few things about Quintin BMX Pro Jesse Whaley:
Mike Ardelean: What’s your #1 American dream car, money no object?
Jesse Whaley: I think my first choice would be 68 Chevy El Camino SS with the 396 (L78). With the standard 3 speed manual trans. Black or pale green.
MA: What’s your #2?
JW: Number two is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, with a 440. Black or White like the “Vanishing Point” car.
MA: What’s your #1 American dream car under $8k?
JW: 1976 Camaro 350, with a 4 speed.
MA: If you were offered a pristine example of that car in exchange for wearing a Juicy velour tracksuit every time you got on your bike in the next two years, would you do it?
JW: I’m going to say no.
MA: Who’s your favorite comeback rider?
JW: Don’t call it a come back. Troy McMurray.
MA: I’ll assume your answer is Troy McMurray. If Troy McMurray also wore a Juicy suit for the next two years and acted as your personal bodyguard and riding buddy for that two-year period, would that affect your answer to question #4?
JW: I don’t think that helps to much. Then we’d just look like boyfriend and boyfriend.
MA: Let me also throw in that Troy would live next door to you in Echo Park and would let you use his 3-car garage and full Craftsman tool set on Wednesday nights to tune up said car… Any affect on your answer?
JW: We only have to wear them while on our bikes? Haha no.
MA: If you had to eat the same meal every day for the next 3 months, what would it be?
JW: Scrambled eggs whites with spinach. Wheat toast and fruit.
MA: If you had to drink the same cocktail every day until you died, crafted by the best bartender in Portland, what would it be?
JW: Bullet Bourbon and water.
MA: Whose part in SBC’s “Style Cats” is your favorite?
JW: It’s between Bobby Fisher and Joe Rich.
MA: If you had to leave on a trip to Alaska with Jim Reinstra for a month, and you were taking his Astro van, and could only put 5 things in your bag, what would they be?
JW: Do I have a sleeping bag? I’ll assume I do. Tooth brush, phone chargers, clothes. And a extra Quintin beanie. That all I need. I carry most things I need through out the day in my pockets.
Last Friday we celebrated the Holidays along with The Heights. Anyone who had the privilege of being there will tell you it was a damn good time. Want to send a special thanks to all the riders who came out, the supporters who showed up, our respective crews, and of course, all of the sponsors for all free goodies. This video is the first of a few that will be dropping. Enjoy!

This past Friday was the first holiday party at The Heights. It was definitely great to see everything come together after the work we’ve all put in to sculpting the place over the last few weeks. DJ Ivy killed it on the one’s and two’s as the all the riders did they’re thing on the ramps. And the response from the crowd only gassed the riders up that much more to give it their all, as you’ll see in some of the footage and pics that are coming. This will definitely be the first of many more events to come from Quintin and The Heights. Enjoy these quick photos from The Heights.
As you’ve been seeing over the last couple of weeks. We’ve been going hard with the construction of the fantasy, dubbed “The Heights.” Check out this first session featuring a few of our riders, brought in part by Blacklist Mag. This is a first of many. Be on the lookout for more from Quintin and The Heights.

Jesse Whaley sent us this edit that we are assuming was made with his phone, as the title of the edit is “Phone is trippin’ ” either way it definitely deserves a post.
